1. Introduction

At Safe Eco Fixes Ltd. (SEF Ltd.), we are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship across all spray foam removal, insulation, and cavity wall insulation services.

This Workmanship Guarantee sets out the terms under which we cover our installation and workmanship standards.

2. General Workmanship Guarantee (All Services)

SEF Ltd. provides a 5-year workmanship guarantee on all services, including spray foam removal and insulation works.

This guarantee covers defects arising directly from our workmanship under normal use and maintenance conditions.

If a valid issue arises within this period, we will inspect the work and, where appropriate, carry out remedial works at no labour cost.

3. What Is Covered

This guarantee covers defects that arise directly as a result of faulty workmanship carried out by Safe Eco Fixes Ltd., under normal conditions of use.

Specifically, this includes:

• Defects caused by incorrect installation, fitting, or application of materials
• Failure of insulation performance where this is demonstrably due to installation error
• Work not carried out in accordance with agreed specifications, manufacturer guidance, or relevant industry standards
• Issues that can be directly attributed to SEF Ltd.’s workmanship, as determined following inspection

All works are undertaken in line with current industry best practices, manufacturer installation guidelines, and applicable UK Building Regulations at the time of installation.

Where a valid claim is identified, SEF Ltd. will take reasonable steps to rectify the issue in accordance with this guarantee.

4. What Is Not Covered

This guarantee is limited to workmanship only and does not extend to issues outside of SEF Ltd.’s control or responsibility.

The following are not covered:

• Pre-existing conditions or defects, including but not limited to damp, condensation, timber decay, structural movement, inadequate ventilation, or hidden defects not reasonably identifiable at the time of installation
• Property-related issues arising after installation that are not caused by our workmanship (e.g. roof leaks, plumbing failures, or structural changes)
• Damage caused by external events, including fire, flooding, storms, subsidence, or other environmental or accidental factors
• Natural wear and tear, ageing, or deterioration of materials over time
• Alterations, modifications, or interference by third parties not authorised by SEF Ltd.
• Failure to maintain the property in a reasonable condition, including lack of ventilation, misuse, neglect, or failure to follow any guidance provided
• Performance expectations where the issue is not caused by installation defects but relates to property condition, design limitations, or factors outside SEF Ltd.’s control

This guarantee also does not cover any consequential or secondary issues that are not directly caused by defective workmanship.

Where there is uncertainty, SEF Ltd. reserves the right to carry out an inspection to determine the cause of the issue before accepting liability under this guarantee.

5. Claims Process

To make a claim under this guarantee:

• Notify SEF Ltd. as soon as the issue is identified
• Provide a description of the problem and supporting evidence where possible
• Allow reasonable access for inspection

All claims will be assessed and verified before any remedial works are agreed.

6. Resolution

Where a claim is accepted, SEF Ltd. will:

• Inspect the issue
• Carry out remedial works where required
• Rectify workmanship-related defects at no labour cost

Work will be completed within a reasonable timeframe, subject to access and scheduling.

7. Cavity Wall Insulation Guarantee

For cavity wall insulation services, SEF Ltd. provides:

• A 25-year workmanship guarantee covering installation quality
• A 10-year insurance-backed guarantee (HIP-backed) for additional protection, the customer is required to opt in to this. 

This covers installation defects and performance issues directly related to workmanship, subject to normal use and property maintenance.

The insurance-backed guarantee is provided by an independent provider and is subject to their terms and conditions.

8. Limitations of Liability

SEF Ltd. is not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential losses
• Loss of property value or income
• Costs relating to relocation or temporary accommodation
• Issues not directly caused by workmanship

Liability is limited strictly to the rectification of defective work covered under this guarantee.

9. Compliance

SEF Ltd. operates in accordance with:

• Consumer Rights Act 2015
• UK Building Regulations
• Relevant industry standards
• UK GDPR (data protection requirements where applicable)

10. Updates to This Guarantee

SEF Ltd. reserves the right to update this Workmanship Guarantee where necessary to reflect changes in legislation or industry standards.
