Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

1. Introduction

At Safe Eco Fixes Ltd., we understand that circumstances may change and bookings may need to be cancelled or rescheduled.

This Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy should be read alongside any signed agreement, including any 14-day cancellation or waiver form where applicable.

By booking our services, you agree to the terms set out in this policy.

2. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

Where a contract is agreed remotely (e.g. online or off-premises), you are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

During this period, you may cancel the contract without providing any reason.

3. Commencement of Work During Cooling-Off Period

If you request for work to begin within the 14-day cooling-off period, you may be asked to sign a Waiver of Cancellation Rights, confirming that:

  • You consent to work starting immediately
  • You understand your statutory cancellation rights may be affected once work has begun
  • You agree that Safe Eco Fixes Ltd. may retain payment for any work completed or costs incurred up to the point of cancellation

4. Post 14-Day Cancellation

After the 14-day cooling-off period has ended, you may still cancel your booking.
In such cases:

  • Any deposit paid may be retained where costs have already been incurred
  • If work has started, you will be charged only for work completed and any materials or costs incurred up to the point of cancellation
  • Any remaining balance (if applicable) will be refunded

5. Rescheduling Policy

We are happy to accommodate reasonable requests to reschedule appointments, subject to availability.

  • Rescheduling requests should be made as early as possible
  • We will work with you to agree a suitable alternative date
  • Any costs already incurred (e.g. materials ordered or specialist scheduling) may need to be taken into account

6. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, such as medical emergencies or urgent personal situations.

In such cases, we will always aim to act reasonably and fairly when reviewing cancellations or rescheduling requests.

7. Windows & Doors Services (Separate Terms)

Certain services, including windows and doors installations, are subject to separate cancellation terms due to bespoke manufacturing, supplier lead times, and material ordering requirements.

These products are typically made to order and tailored to your specific measurements and requirements. As such:

  • Once manufacturing has commenced, cancellation may not be possible without cost
  • If you choose to cancel after production has begun, you may be liable for:

       1. The cost of goods already manufactured or ordered

       2. Any associated supplier charges

       3. Reasonable costs incurred for logistics, transportation, or handling

       4. Any demonstrable loss of earnings directly related to the booking

We will always aim to keep any such charges fair, proportionate, and reflective only of actual costs and losses incurred. Full details of these terms will be clearly outlined at the time of booking or within your agreement.

9. Refunds

Where a refund is due, it will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days, subject to any deductions for costs already reasonably incurred.
